Google Home devices are built for Gemini

Today, we’re introducing a new portfolio of devices for the home built around Gemini. We’re bringing you new Google Home and Nest devices that deliver the best, most optimized Gemini experiences, while also working with partners so you can choose from a wide array of form factors, designs and price points.

Our new lineup of Nest Cams and Doorbell, specifically engineered to bring you the power of Gemini for Home and deliver more peace of mind, are here. We’re also sharing the new Google Home Speaker, the first audio device built for Gemini, bringing our most advanced and helpful voice assistant into your home.

To deliver the full potential of Gemini's intelligence, these devices needed to be true AI cameras that could interpret and understand. Our three new wired devices — the Nest Cam Indoor (3rd gen), Nest Cam Outdoor (2nd gen) and Nest Doorbell (3rd gen) — were built to provide the rich, detailed data our multimodal AI uses, so you get better alerts and can find important moments, faster.

Our best image quality ever: All three new cameras feature 2K HDR video, our highest resolution yet, so you can see every detail with incredible clarity. This provides the critical leap in detail our AI needs for advanced semantic scene understanding; independent, third-party testing from DXOMARK ranked all three new cameras first in their class for image quality.

Wider, taller views: The new cameras feature our widest and tallest field of view ever, letting you keep an eye on wide yards or driveways. The new Nest Cams capture a sweeping 152-degree diagonal view, while the Nest Doorbell offers a 1:1 aspect ratio and a 166-degree diagonal view so you can see packages on the ground, wide entryways and visitors from head to toe.

Improved low-light performance: Low-light performance is greatly improved so you see rich color and detail, thanks to a new sensor and a wider aperture that allows for more light sensitivity than our previous cameras. This means the cameras can now stay in full-color mode much longer at dawn and dusk than before. And, of course, they still feature high-powered infrared night vision so you don’t miss a moment, even in total darkness.
