Apple Glasses are coming: Here’s every rumored new feature

Apple Glasses are coming, with an unveiling rumored for next year. Based on the latest leaks and reporting, here is every feature to expect with Apple’s brand new wearable product: Apple Glasses.
Rumored features for Apple’s new Glasses product

The idea of smart glasses is nothing new in the world of tech. Google Glass debuted over a decade ago but was met more by skepticism than interest. Ray-Ban Meta, with their AI focus, seem to be faring better.

Apple’s work on Vision Pro and visionOS has largely been seen as laying a foundation for a future AR-driven glasses product.

However, with the rise of AI and Meta’s early success with Ray-Ban, the company is now rumored to be working on an AI-driven ‘Apple Glasses’ product that won’t have a display or support AR.

Here’s a list of rumored features for the very first Apple Glasses model:

new chip
multiple cameras to capture photos and videos
Apple Intelligence heavy, including visual intelligence
voice control with Siri
built-in speakers
pair with an iPhone
health-tracking features
available in a variety of styles

Diving into the feature details

Apple Glasses’ chip is reportedly based on the S-class chips in the Apple Watch. It’s expected to prioritize power efficiency even more highly, and will be designed to control the product’s multiple cameras.

Those cameras will be used for capturing photos and videos, of course. But Apple also plans to use the cameras for visual intelligence-style features.

Awareness of what you’re looking at should unlock a world of Apple Intelligence-related capabilities that are similar to what visual intelligence offers today on iPhone.

The new and improved Siri will be a key part of the Glasses product, making Apple’s success in its assistant’s forthcoming AI revamp even more crucial.

Though Apple Glasses will no doubt work well with AirPods, they’ll also include built-in speakers for media playback and Siri interactions.

Apple is expected to offload certain task processing to a paired iPhone, as the product will be marketed as an iPhone accessory similar to Apple Watch.
