Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are reportedly coming much sooner than their predecessors

The Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro launched last September, and in fact the entire T series was unveiled every year during that month like clockwork. This, however, is set to change in 2026, according to a new rumor out of China.

Apparently, Xiaomi will be launching the 17T and 17T Pro a whopping four months earlier - so, most likely around May. If true, this would be a massive reshuffle of the company's overall launch schedule.

The Xiaomi 17T allegedly has the model number 2602DPT53G, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro has the model number 2602EPTC0G. They are codenamed Chagall and Warhol, respectively.

According to the same source, the 17T will be powered by the Dimensity 8500 SoC, while the 17T Pro will go with the Dimensity 9500. Their batteries will also be bigger than what we've seen from the 15T and 15T Pro, while camera upgrades won't be very large.

A previous leak claimed the 17T would have the exact same camera setup as the 15T, but would up the battery capacity to 6,500 mAh, with 67W charging. Interestingly, that previous rumor said the 17T would be powered by the Dimensity 9400, not the 8500. So it seems like there's still some disagreement between various sources regarding the 17T series specs, which is all the more reason to take everything you just read with a pinch of salt.
